The user manual for the BAE 312A Rackmount and Module DUAL312WPS provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Pro Audio - Recording - Microphone Preamps.
This version of the BAE Audio 312A Preamp Rackmount Module has a capacitor-free circuit design, a 1 RU 19" rackmount form factor, and utilizes Jensen input and output transformers as well as the Avedis 1122 opamp. I/O is provided by rear-panel XLR connectors as well as a high-impedance front-panel 1/4"phone DI input for guitars, synthesizers, and other instruments. A front-panel MIC/INST switch engages the DI, while a dedicated gain knob allows you to add 10 to 66 dB of gain. Three dedicated switches provide phantom power, polarity inversion, and a signal pad. The contacts in the preamplifier's switches are gold-plated to ensure reliability and signal fidelity.
