User manual for the Firefield Nightfall 3.5x42 Digital Night Vision Monocular
The user manual for the Firefield Nightfall 3.5x42 Digital Night Vision Monocular provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Night & Thermal Vision - NV Monoculars & Multi-Systems.
Explore the outdoors at night using the compact and water-resistant FireField Nightfall 3.5x42 Digital Night Vision Monocular. With a built-in infrared illuminator and a digital CCD sensor, you obtain detailed images during day or night, improved range, and adequate visibility in complete darkness. Compared to NVDs with intensifying tubes, the digital night vision sensor has nearly unlimited lifetime and unparalleled resistance to bright light. You don't have to worry about accidentally exposing it to daylight and burning it. The 3.5x objective lens offers a tradeoff between notable magnification, a 5º field of view, and a wider than average 42mm aperture for gathering infrared light. For your convenience, the monocular features an ergonomic body that allows you to hold it with one hand and adjust its controls, while focusing with another. It has rubberized armoring in order to provide a non-slip grip. The on-off and infrared-on control buttons are within easy reach and allow for one-handed operation. The eyepiece has a diopter adjustment for fine-tuning image sharpness and an eyecup to allow you to get a comfortable fit between the eyepiece and the orbit of your eye. This helps to stabilize viewing and to prevent leakage of light from the LCD. The housing is lightweight and water-resistant. For long-term observation, improved image stability, or multitasking, this monocular can also be mounted on a 1/4"-20 tripod via a built-in socket. Also included with the device are a lens cloth, carry case, lens cap, and a hand strap.
