User manual for the Formatt Hitech 138mm ProStop IRND 2.7 Filter BF138PSIR2.7
The user manual for the Formatt Hitech 138mm ProStop IRND 2.7 Filter BF138PSIR2.7 provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Photography - Filters - Neutral Density (Solid).
The Formatt-Hitech 138mm ProStop IRND 2.7 Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 9 stop reduction in exposure. This 2.7 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily.
The ProStop IRND filters have been optimized for use with digital sensors and promote nearly flat attenuation of both visible and infrared light. Due to imaging sensors' greater susceptibility to infrared light, compared to traditional film, color casts can occur when photographing darker subjects that require increased exposure times. This filter provides a high level of neutrality across both spectrums in order to eliminate color casts and ensure cleaner, truer blacks.
This Formatt-Hitech filter is constructed from high-quality, CR-39 resin for clarity and maintained light transmission. It is set within an aluminum filter ring with front threads for stacking additional filters or a lens cap.
