necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Professional Video - Signal Processing & Distribution - Signal Converters.
The Marshall Electronics Orchid Battery-Powered 3G-SDI / HDMI Cross Converter (4-Pin XLR) is used to convert input signals between an HDMI and a 3G-SDI source with audio for distribution over 2 output ports. Accepting input from a 3G-SDI source, the Cross Converter can be used to provide signals to an HDMI source while simultaneously supplying the same input through the 3G-SDI output port. Automatic input video format detection allows automatic input port switching of the signals to the respective output ports.
With a built-in SD format interlacer, the Battery-Powered 3G-SDI / HDMI Cross Converter supports 480p to 480i conversion required for DSLR while recording. A small battery plate allows you to use the cross converter with a 7.2V or a 14.4V battery for operation. In addition, it includes an EIA 12V jack and a 4-pin XLR connector that is used to power the unit.
The Battery-Powered 3G-SDI / HDMI Cross Converter with 4-Pin XLR Connector comes with an 8-position piano switch for input port selection and power save, and features LED indicators which indicate speed and health of the connection. A USB service port is also included for future upgrade of the device. The converter is housed in a rugged metal alloy case, and includes a 1/4-20 dual size mounting holes.
