User manual for the Pulsar Recon 550R 4x50 Digital Night Vivision Recording PL78031K
The user manual for the Pulsar Recon 550R 4x50 Digital Night Vivision Recording PL78031K provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Night & Thermal Vision - NV Monoculars & Multi-Systems.
With two infrared laser illuminators, the Recon 550R 4x50 Digital NV Recording Monocular Kit from Pulsar will provide bright images with good detail in most low-light situations and in complete darkness.
Featuring a five-element eyepiece and a 582x500 CCD sensor, the Recon 550R Monocular is a versatile digital night vision device that can record photos and videos, as well as save them on an SD memory card. The photos are created in JPEG format and videos are recorded in AVI format. You can view night scenery on 320x240-pixel display or relay it to an external recorder or monitor via an analog video output port. To give you options, the LCD display gives a choice of emission colors and has a contrast gain function. To allow you to make observations in total darkness or in situations with low natural infrared illumination, the NVD provides a built-in 125mW 780nm infrared laser. Compared to intensifier tube night vision devices, digital night vision devices have virtually unlimited lifetime and are immune to prolonged direct exposure to daylight.
The housing is lightweight and durable. It provides a water-resistant protection for optics and electronics. It also features an ergonomic contoured shape and an easy to use menu pad. The integrated 1/4"-20 socket allows you to mount the monocular on tripod for a hands-free operation. If you need to mount additional accessories to this night vision device, you can use the built-in Weaver mounting point.
To augment the night vision capabilities of the monocular, the kit includes a detachable laser illuminator. Outfitted with the invisible 915nm laser and focusable collimating lens, this illuminator can dramatically increase visibility of night scenery or your targets while you remain unseen. It can be easily snapped onto your 550R monocular or any other NDV with a Weaver rail via its built-in weaver mount or a 1/4"-20 socket. The laser features a high 125-250mW continuously variable power output and the objective lens that has a focusing ring with a crenellated rim. To operate, the illuminator requires four AA batteries and has a low battery indicator. The housing is lightweight and ergonomic and features knurled adjustment rings and knobs for a sure grip.
