Based on Beutler's formula for Neofin Red and refined by Geoffrey Crawley, FX-39 is a black and white film developer from Adox. This one-shot liquid concentrate developer is able to maintain full film speed during development, as well as double film speed and boost contrast by adjusting development time and dilution. By adjusting the dilution, this developer is especially well-suited for various low-speed films, up to ISO/ASA 200, and is ideal for school and introductory photography due to its high equalizing power; low toxicity, which requires no GLS labeling; and ease of mixing.
This item is one 16.9 oz / 500 ml bottle of liquid concentrate. The standard dilution is 1:9 and is used as a one-shot developer. 1:14 and 1:19 dilutions can also be used by multiplying developing times by 1.5 and 2, respectively.
