Designed as a lightweight yet versatile illumination tool, Black Diamond's matte black Ion Headlamp a touch-sensitive switch that allows you to change illumination modes, light color, and beam intensity by simply swiping or pressing your finger to the front panel of the light. The headlamp is equipped with a white DoublePower LED that is capable of variable output from a minimum of 4 lumens to a maximum of 80 lumens for precision illumination control as well as a strobe mode that can be used to signal in emergencies. A secondary SinglePower red LED offers light without affecting night-adapted vision, with the strobe mode also being available.
