The small size and light weight of the Bounty Hunter Junior Metal Detector is well-suited to for smaller users, such as children. The open 6" concentric search coil makes pinpointing objects easy as the center always has the highest returns. Detection results are displayed on an analog display and are audible through the built-in speaker.
Two analog knobs provide for easy adjustment of sensitivity settings. You can choose between an all metal mode that provides returns on all metals or manually adjust the discrimination level to better filter results. Returns are shown on a needle-indicated graph and are also indicated by a tone which gets louder as signal strength increases. The unit is powered by two 9V batteries.
