User manual for the Brunton OMNI-SLOPE 10x Inclinometer F-OMNISLOPE
The user manual for the Brunton OMNI-SLOPE 10x Inclinometer F-OMNISLOPE provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Optics - Outdoor Gear - Compasses.
The OMNI-SLOPE 10x Inclinometer from Brunton measures angles in degrees, percent grade, and 66' forestry chains for land surveying purposes. The degrees scale is broken up into 1° increments, and the inclinometer is accurate to within a 1/2°. The OMNI-SLOPE features an optical lens with 10x magnification for enlarging the scales to enable easier reading. Additionally, the illuminated dial ensures that the scales can clearly be seen even in low-light conditions. The inclinometer's lightweight, anodized aluminum housing is durable to allow for years of field use. The indicator card with the scales is also constructed from aluminum.
A precision pendulum with a 180° range gives fast, smooth, and accurate readings of height and pitch. Height can be calculated using the percentage scale and the distance between yourself and the object to be measured. As an alternative, you can simply use the 66' forestry chain scale and read out the correct height without calculating anything.
Look through the lens and aim at your target object. With both eyes open, the hairline will appear to be "standing up" from the inclinometer's housing, making it easy to accurately read the correct angle towards the object due to optical illusion. You can focus the lens on your desired scale by turning the eyepiece. If necessary due to a lack of space for sighting measurements, you can place the instrument's long side along the inclined plane to be measured and read the slope angle directly from the lubber line. The OMNI-SLOPE is supplied with a leather case. It is made in the USA.
