Pairing the sleek DSLR with a pair of versatile zooms, the D5300 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm and 55-300mm Lenses Kit from Nikon includes the camera body, a standard zoom lens, and a telephoto zoom lens, as well as a 32GB SDHC memory card and card holder, protective camera bag with faux leather trim, and a Nikon DVD. This kit includes all of the necessary components needed to begin photographing, along with a duo of lenses to suit working in a variety of conditions.
The D5300 features a DX-format 24.2 megapixel CMOS sensor and an EXPEED 4 image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD video with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 25600 and a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 fps. The sensor's design omits the traditional optical low-pass filter in order to gain the utmost sharpness and resolution from both photos and videos. Complementing the imaging assets are both a versatile 39-point autofocus system, with nine cross-type sensors, and a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for precise exposure metering in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Additionally, the sleek body design incorporates a large vari-angle 3.2" 1,037k-dot LCD monitor and built-in Wi-Fi with GPS allows you to wirelessly transfer photos and remotely control the camera from a mobile device, as well as embed location data into your image files.
Included with the D5300 camera body is the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II lens; a standard zoom providing a 27-82.5mm equivalent focal length range. This lens incorporates a robust VR image stabilization system, which helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to four shutter speed stops to benefit working in low-light conditions. Complementing this standard zoom, the AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR is also included, and provides an 82.5-450mm equivalent focal length range. This lens incorporates two extra-low dispersion elements and one high refractive index element to control aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range. This telephoto zoom also features VR image stabilization, which compensates for up to three stops of camera shake for sharper handheld shooting. Additionally, both lenses feature a Super Integrated Coating, which reduces flare and ghosting to optimize image clarity, contrast, and color neutrality.
