Subject: Meter spikes on off/on & Deck A functions

Hi, when ever I turn on or off the unit, I notice the left and right meters momentarily peak out in the red. Once the unit is on, whenever you engage any of the funtions in the "A" Deck, the same thing occurs, but not the "B" Deck. So power on or off, and selecting any funtion in the A Deck only causes a momentary output meter peak in both left and right channels. What is the cause of this? I'm an experienced electronic tech, 36 years, from radar to audio amps and don't have a schematic to analyze and or troubleshoot it.
