User manual for the Seagate 24TB (4 x 6TB) 4-Bay NAS Pro Server Enclosure Kit
The user manual for the Seagate 24TB (4 x 6TB) 4-Bay NAS Pro Server Enclosure Kit provides
necessary instructions for the proper use of the product Computers & Solutions - Networking - Network Attached Storage Drives.
With this B&H Kit, you will receive the Seagate 4-Bay NAS Pro Server Enclosure and four 6TB SATA hard drives to provide 24TB of data storage for your business and personal needs. This network storage solution offers the ability to collaborate, share, and access files even when on the go. You can utilize this kit with your network via Gigabit Ethernet connections for backing up your systems or streaming media to your mobile devices and TV. Utilizing the two LAN ports with failover and link aggregation support ensures continual service in the event that one of the LANs fails unexpectedly. You can also connect this NAS to your Windows, Mac, and Linux systems using its USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports. To help ensure 24 x 7 operations, the 3.5" NAS hard drives feature better vibration and temperature tolerances than standard drives and can be configured into a RAID mode with this enclosure. Once you have installed the drives, this NAS offers file transfers up to 200 MB/s, which is fast enough to support up to 50 users.
The NAS Pro is equipped with Intel's dual-core 1.7 GHz processor and has 2GB of RAM to support fast and frequent file sharing between users, as well as multiple applications running simultaneously. It features SimplyRAID technology that is built into the NAS OS 4 software. This technology guides you in choosing between JBOD, RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, and 10, which can provide capacity, performance, or redundancy. Moreover, it allows you to start storing files immediately after you install drives and select your configuration, without waiting hours for the RAID volume to build. Within the App Manager in NAS OS 4, you can install apps that turn the NAS into a recording solution for IP cameras or an anti-virus app that can scan files and identify potential threats before it is too late. It also features NAS-to-NAS backup, which allows IT administrators to back up shares to other NAS devices on the network or a remote location over the Internet.
