The ZW38 Black Label Chorus is a modulation effect pedal from MXR designed for guitarist Zakk Wylde, best known for his work with Black Label Society, Ozzy Osbourne, and Pride & Glory. Using its bucket-brigade circuitry to create lush, liquid textures, Wylde employs the ZW38 to thicken up his wall of distortion, and add dimension and texture to clean passages. The ZW38 features rate, depth, and level controls to regulate the speed, intensity, and volume level of the effect, as well as knobs for cutting high and low frequencies, which provide greater tone control than a typical chorus pedal allows.
